Ruth Volpe
I am an Acupuncturist and Chinese Medical Herbalist with particular interests in Women’s health, Fertility and Dermatology.
I've practised acupuncture since 2010 and, after undertaking a two-year Postgraduate Diploma training at Northern College of Acupuncture in York, in 2019 I added Chinese Herbal Medicine to my practice.
As a Registered Nurse Ruth, I have a good understanding and knowledge of allopathic (mainstream) medicines and treatments. However, I believe that the carefully considered use of both modern and traditional medicines can be used to achieve the best outcome for patients.
In addition to Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, I am also qualified as an Aromatherapist (via the Tisserand Institute) and can offer Aromatherapy Massage and Indian Head Massage.

Each session is tailored to you, blending Chinese medicine principles with Western therapies to activate your body’s natural self-healing patterns. I also offer Swedish body massage and Indian head massage to support relaxation and energy flow.
Through this holistic process, I help you release what no longer serves you, gain clarity, and reconnect with your true self.
Therapies include:
I work deeply to identify imbalances in the body using gentle muscle testing, exploring structural, biochemical, emotional, and energetic factors. For example, if you experience bloating or gut discomfort that diet changes haven’t resolved, we may uncover underlying issues such as food intolerance, yeast or bacterial imbalance. I’ll then guide you on whether supplements, lymphatic massage, acupressure or structural corrections may help. My goal is to help you feel lighter, more energised and aligned with your body’s natural system.
